Here is my favorite picture of the girls. You can just see how much Issy adores her big sister. Emily had just taken a break from pulling Issy around the yard.

I win! If there were a contest for the absolute worst blogger on the planet, it would be me. Life has been so hectic around here that I have had some serious trouble updating you all. This is a really lame excuse considering one of my friends from the July moms has twins and more than one blog and she still manages to somehow keep them all up to date. I really need lessons. She is a teacher after all. Hmmm?!
Anyways, tomorrow my baby is one. One year old. I can't believe it. The time has flown by and I am not sure where it went. She has such a little personality now and she gives me something new to laugh about everyday. She is walking like a little maniac and that was so something that I wasn't ready for. To me walking is a little too much Independence. I am so not ready for her not to need me anymore. *sigh* You can't really stop them though can you?
Emily is going batty ever since school let out. She passed kindergarten by the skin of her teeth and with the teacher writing a note in her report card saying that she has to put in more effort next year. It is so frustrating I tell you. She is perfectly capable of doing the work yet she refuses to do it. Practice won't help that. Unfortunately she got her stubbornness and willpower from both her dad and me. We are sooo screwed!
I have bronchitis right now and feel like crap. However crap is a huge step up from yesterday when I felt as though death was waiting on my doorstep. I have drugs from the Dr and can now breathe so that is a bonus. breathing is a great thing I tell ya. I have also taken a part time job at the local meat shop and am working for my good friend. One of the perks to working there is the yummy sausage. Mmmmm, fresh meat!!! I went and had my manicure and pedicure that Colin bought me for mothers day and it was great. So relaxing and my feet felt great for about a week. So I have decided that I must have a pedicure at least once a week. Colin is not so much going for that idea though. Hey you can't blame a girl for trying can you?
Speaking of Colin he has himself a motor bike and is now a biker-a-holic. He loves it and goes out on the weekends riding with friends. It scares the poop out of me but he enjoys it so I am trying really hard to curb the fear and not throw myself in front of the bike so that he can't leave. No I am doping something way more mature and way less productive. I am throwing a temper tantrum and crying like a 4 year old who just lost his ice cream cone to the dog down the street. All this does is produce some interesting looks from birth Colin and the kids and give me a stuffy nose. I am thinking it is time to review my strategy. Any ideas?
Finally Lynda and the kids are finally home. It is so nice to have them just down the street (FYI- In small town Saskatchewan everything is just down the street) We have coffee, well she drinks coffee and I watch, I am not a coffee drinker. We have water just doesn't have the same ring to it though. Anyways, we visit and the kids get to play together it is great. I love it that she is so close now.
Well I should continue getting ready for the birthday party on the weekend. I promise to try and keep you all updated more often. Feel free to give me a good swift kick start when you see me slacking off again. Night all.
